Pick of the Week: January 29, 2012

Grace necklace

This stunning pendant was made by my cousin Grace.  Okay, so this is not vintage, but it is handmade.  

I hope I'm not giving away a trade secret, but the background beneath the glass is nail polish!  She was selling these on Etsy.com up until recently and I will definitely repost this if she starts selling again.

Recycled Sweater Hat: What to do with an old sweater First, I cut a rectangular piece out of the sweater (about 10"x20"), being sure to keep two clean edges. I tried to cut along lines that would be easy to sew, avoiding slicing through the cable knit.
